There are so many contraceptive pills which prevents pregnancy. Contraceptive pills when consumed after sex will prevent pregnancy. These drugs can prevent ovulation or fertilization. These are distinct from abortion. Abortion is carried out after fertilization. Yasmin is one such low birth control contraceptive pill. How it prevents pregnancy? It uses two hormones progesterone and estrogen to prevent ovulation or fertilization. To be more specific Yasmin combines Drospirenone(a form of progesterone) and ethinyl estradiol(a form of estrogen) to prevent pregnancy. These two hormones prevent the ovary from releasing the egg. If ovulation persists yasmin can thicken the uterus lining. Thus prevents the sperm to enter and reach the egg. Thus fertilization is prevented. As with any other birth control pill much care should be taken while consuming Yasmin. You need to set up a regular time so as to get 100% effectiveness of the pill. Missing pills may have serious consequences. It’s highly safe to consult a physician before taking these pills. When antibiotics or any other drugs are consumed along with these contraceptive pills it may lead to some serious chemical reaction which may affect your system. But Yasmin is a highly safe with fewer side effects.
